A few Favorite Halloween Books

Yikes, first ever blog post coming at you. Blogging is not really my jam, but in this author/bookstagramer world I thought it would be nice for you to have an easier way to search through all the content to find what you are looking for. So here we go…

We are creeping up on Halloween, and as I dug through our book bins I realized we have a lot of Halloween books. All the better to share with you, I guess!

Blue Truck Halloween:

The reason I bought a Halloween book set was for this reason alone. I love the Blue Truck and all his books. Something about his animal friends just makes me smile. Luckily my kiddos feel the same.

Spooky Pookie:

Anything by Sandra Boynton is a hit in our house. Her Little Pookie books follow a little pig, this time trying to decide on what Halloween costume to wear. He goes through the costume box to find the perfect one. A wonderful, quick read for the younger kiddos in your life.

Happy Halloween Little Critter:

Does anyone else still love Little Critter from our childhood? I do, it gives me the warm fuzzies thinking about it. This book is a lift the flap, showing Little Critter and his friends at a Halloween party. There are some (mildly) spooky parts, where Little Critter needs to determine who it actually is under the costume.

Boo Bunny:

A book for young readers about two nervous little bunnies out trick or treating. A little silly, a little spooky, this is a great book for the kids who love onomatopoeia.

Sheep Trick or Treat:

Little Sheep dress up and leave the barn to go trick or treat at other animal’s homes. Careful for the wolves who hear the sheep go out for the night, someone’s in for a big fright! I love a good rhyming book!
